Police Log: Combative Patient at the ER, Crashes

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

3:33 p.m.: A 50-year-old woman was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center with a head wound after a fall in her backyard.

4:23 p.m.: The Emergency Room staff at Milford Regional reported a combative, intoxicated man. The 52-year-old was taken into protective custody.

4:30 p.m.: A caller reported his neighbors were fighting on North Bow Street. Police responded.

4:53 p.m.: A caller reported seeing an erratic driver in a black Toyota Tundra, on North Street. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

5:06 p.m.: A woman reported a child was alone in a car outside Rite Aid on Prospect Street. The child was in a car seat in the vehicle. Police spoke to the parent.

5:16 p.m.: A woman reported loud music was coming from a multi-family on Pearl Street. Police spoke to the people involved.

9:55 p.m.: A caller asked police to check on her daughter, who she hadn't heard from all day. Police checked and she was OK.

Thursday, Jan. 24

12:21 a.m.: An officer checked Dunkin Donuts on South Main Street to see if a man had found a ride back to Bellingham. The store was closed. Police called Bellingham and Hopedale to check to see if they could find him walking on Route 140. Police reported he was at a liquor store in Mendon. Bellingham Police gave him a ride home.

7:05 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on East Main at Cedar Streets. Minor damage was reported, and no injury.

7:27 a.m.: Firefighters responded to Interstate 495 South for a report of a rollover with injury. A man bleeding from the head was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

9:22 a.m.: An officer took possession of a black bike that was leaning against some bushes on Quinlan Street, and had been there for three to four days.

9:39 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Fayette Street, police were seeking a summons to charge Manuel Pomavilla, 28, of 41 Jefferson St., Milford, with marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The Chevrolet van was towed.

10:18 a.m.: A vehicle struck a utility pole on Purchase Street, at Cricket Lane. National Grid resonded. An ambulance responded for the driver. No injury was reported, however.

1:12 p.m.: An officer reported to Kohl's Department Store for a report of a shoplifter.

3:33 p.m.: Police checked on the well being of a person in a car at Fino Field. They checked and everything was OK.
