Police Log: Child Calls Police to Report Inappropriate Activity on Smartphone

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Friday, March 14

At 7:43 a.m., Milford Police responded to a two-car accident in the are of Milford High School on West Fountain Street involving a gray Nissan Altima and a black Toyota that reportedly drove off from the scene.

At 9:26 a.m., police received a report of a female looking at cars in the parking lot of Kohl's and setting off alarms.

At 11:59 a.m., a caller reported to police of spotting footprints on his back deck. No damage to windows or doors had been reported, according to police records.

At 3:52 p.m., Milford police reported to Massachusetts State Police that a caller had reported being tailgated by another driver while traveling in the southbound lane of Rte. I-495.

At 3:56 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident involving a gray caravan and a green Chevy Lumina. No injuries were reported. 

At 6:25 p.m., a 10-year-old child called police to report she was playing on a smartphone app when a man began sending inappropriate photos on the phone. 

At 6:35 p.m., an employee of Dollar Tree on Medway Road reported that a customer misplaced her phone and could hear it ringing in the store and thought another customer had taken it. 

At 8:16 p.m., police received a report of a house fire next to Sunoco on East Main Street. Fire officials responded to the scene and reported that there was no active fire in the area, but a small problem in a wood stove had been detected. 

Saturday, March 15

At 9:52 a.m., a man walked into the Milford Police Department to report he had been walking in the area of Pearl and East Main streets when he found 20 .45 caliber ammunition rounds wrapped up on the ground. 

At 7:02 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle in the area of Hayward Street and Manguso Court and subsequently issued a summons to Chantel Doyle of Hopedale for failing to stop/yield, driving without possession of a registration, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and operation of a vehicle with a suspended license.
