Police Log: Child Calls 911 to Report 'Brother Being Mean'

Friday, July 20
5:41 p.m.: A caller reported an elderly woman was on the side of the road on East Main Street, in a motorized wheel chair, and looked like she might be sleeping. The caller reported back that the woman was now traveling. Police checked and all was OK.
8:30 p.m.: A man reported he was having a fight with his son. Police arrested Joseph J. Thompson, 35, of 6 Harris Ave., Milford, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

8:37 p.m.: A caller asked police to remove a male party from a residence on Winter Street. Officers responded. A woman later obtained an emergency restraining order from an on-call judge.
8:41 p.m.: A caller reported a domestic incident between him and his girlfriend. Police responded. No arrest was reported.

10:08 p.m.: Police responded to Cornell Drive, where a man was heard yelling at children. "Someone ran outside the house, still yelling," the caller reported. Police responded and spoke to the individuals involved.
11:24 p.m.: Police received a report that a man was possibly trying to break into a car on Cherry at West streets. Police responded and determined the man lived at the location and was having a problem with a door lock.

12:08 a.m.: A caller reported she was receiving threats about a male coming over to her house.
12:10 a.m.: A caller on East Main Street reported seeing a male passed out on the stone wall by the He had no shirt and was missing a shoe. Police responded and took a 16-year-old boy into protective custody.
1:02 a.m.: A caller reported a hit and run involving a blue Infiniti at
5:18 a.m.: An officer was flagged down by a motorist who said TVs had been stolen from a vehicle on Court Square.
5:59 a.m.: A caller reported a subcompact van with a loud exhaust was waking up neighbors on Ferguson Drive.
Sunday, July 22
3:30 p.m.: A manager at requested police to help with a shoplifter who was not in custody. The suspect left on a bicycle. Police responded and stopped the suspect near the Police are seeking a summons to charge Spencer D. Toddings, 26, of 12 Claflin St., Milford, with larceny under $250.
3:54 p.m.: A customer reported three intoxicated people in a GMC Yukon were going in and out of attempting to purchase alcohol. Police responded and found no disturbance.
4:24 p.m.: A caller on Grove Street reported a "9-year-old brother" was being "mean." Police responded and spoke to the individuals in the home.
4:33 p.m.: Police responded to the for a report that young girls were on bikes with helmets, but no one around. Police could not locate the girls.
6:58 p.m.: A woman reported tires were slashed on High Street sometime the previous night.
7:34 p.m.: A caller reported a possible domestic on West Spruce Street. She could hear a male yelling and a female saying "Don't do it."
7:59 p.m.: A caller at on Medway Road asked to speak to an officer about a threatening incident. He said he was threatened by a group of people as they were greeting dogs.
8:02 p.m.: Police responded to for a report of shoplifting. Police are seeking a summons to charge Robert A. Murphy, 54, of 29 Walker Ave. Ext., Apt. 20, Milford, with shoplifting by asportation.
8:15 p.m.: A caller reported a possible restraining order violation. Police are seeking a summons to charge David A. Frend, 45, of 29 E. Walnut St., Milford, on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order.
8:52 p.m.: A caller reported a possible domestic on Bandy Lane. Police found no crime, but an argument between three people.
9:11 p.m.: An intoxicated person was reported to be walking up Walnut Street. Police took the person home.
10:05 p.m.: Police received a report that a black Corvette with a male driver was driving erratically on Main Street, heading toward . The vehicle left the area via Interstate 495, according to the narrative.
11:17 p.m.: A caller reported a woman in a Jeep Grand Cherokee who was "very intoxicated" had struck the building on South Main. Police responded and pulled the vehicle over on South Main Street. No arrest was reported.
11:45 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report another woman was harassing her over the telephone. Police spoke to both parties.

6:37 a.m.: Two women were reported to be going through people's trash on Congress Street, near
11:20 a.m.: A caller reported his neighbor's house on Tina Road had been spray painted and vandalized.
11:37 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported a ring had been stolen from her.
11:53 a.m.: A caller on Essex Avenue reported his fence was spray painted.
12:25 p.m.: A caller from reported a shoplifting from the previous day.
2:39 p.m.: Police responded to Jencks Road, for a report that a male and female were arguing, and an infant was in the vehicle. The caller was concerned about the child's well-being. Police responded.
2:59 p.m.: A caller reported a crash between two vehicles on Main Street. No injury was reported.
