Police Log: Child Bitten, Woman Accused of Beating Ex-Boyfriend

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 11

3:55 p.m.: A Hopedale officer said he saw a man with a bloody child running toward Milford Regional Medical Center. He asked police to make sure the man got there. An officer checked the area but no one was in sight. He went to the hospital and spoke to the man. He was taking his son to the emergency room following a dog bite to his son's face. The dog was the family's dog.

4:23 p.m.: An officer pulled a Pontiac over on Main Street, near BP Gas. The officer requested a tow truck. Police are seeking a summons to charge Kendra L. Fontaine, 26, of 92 S. Main St., Apt. A, Milford, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

4:59 p.m.: An officer pulled a Chevy Cavalier over on Central Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge Kathleen R. Faubert, 54, of 6 Veterans Parkway, Uxbridge, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

5:20 p.m.: A caller said three youths were skateboarding near the gym at Milford High School, on the stairs. An officer spoke to them.

5:28 p.m.: A caller said three small children were laying in the road on South High Street. An officer spoke to them.

5:35 p.m.: Officers responded to the home of the child who was bitten by a dog, for a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller was the father who said he and the mother of the child were arguing over his taking the boy for medical help. An officer determined it was an argument, not an assault.

6:19 p.m.: A caller said his daughter took his Toyota Corolla without permission, and he told police she only has a driver's permit. A BOLO was issued to all units.

7:09 p.m.: Several callers on Highland Street said wires had been pulled from a house near Fordham. A woman said the wires were live. Firefighters responded. National Grid responded.

7:12 p.m.: A caller on Bancroft Avenue reported a past hit-and-run.

7:42 p.m.: A caller said a car hit a cat on Fruit at Otis streets. A veterinarian arrived. The cat was put down.

9:09 p.m.: A caller said a white van was heading up Exchange Street, going in the wrong direction. An officer responded but the van was gone.

Friday, July 12

1:14 a.m.: A loud party was reported on Spring Street. Officers spoke to the people.

2:56 a.m.: A caller said a group of kids was causing a disturbance in the Spring Street neighborhood.

5:28 a.m.: A man by a Dumpster near Milford Package Store was yelling and causing a disturbance, a caller said. He was gone when police got there.

10:17 a.m.: A caller on West Street, near Congress Street, said a man was walking around with a hammer, yelling and screaming. Police could not find him.

10:47 a.m.: A caller asked police to talk to a possibly intoxicated woman at Casey Memorial Pool. An officer found that the woman was on medication, and she was going to get a ride home.

11:14 a.m.: A caller at Fino Field's pool said a man was drinking alcohol in the park. An officer responded and gave him a warning.

11:43 a.m.: A caller said he was involved in a domestic with a woman. He said that after an argument, she hit him with her car. He went to the emergency room for treatment. He was at work at the time of the call, but said he would stop in to talk to an officer and file a report.

12:54 p.m.: Skateboarders were reported to be in front of Seitz Specific Chiropractic on Main Street. They were gone when police arrived.

1:09 p.m.: A caller said she was being harassed by her landlord.

2:27 p.m.: A truck driver told police he was tangled in low-hanging wires, on Ivy Lane. Police contacted Verizon and they said they would come out.

2:49 p.m.: A caller said a car struck a pole on Central at Beaver streets. No one was injured.

3:45 p.m.: A caller said kids were using the Milford Upper Charles Trail to enter the quarries.

5:09 p.m.: A caller said kids were skateboarding in front of the Milford Youth Center building.

5:53 p.m.: A caller said his pickup truck struck rebar in the road on Fiske Mill Road.
