Police Log: Change Machine Taken from Laundry Room, Parking Tickets on West Fountain

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Oct. 12

6:28 p.m.: State Police reported a man who lives in Milford was calling 911 on his cell phone, and making threats. Police responded to his address and spoke to him.

6:40 p.m.: A woman on Fruit Street asked to speak to an officer about money that had been taken from her account in a scam.

10:03 p.m.: A caller reported her 15-year-old son ran away from home. Police were investigating.

11:59 a.m.: A caller reported a noisy party on Purchase Street.

Sunday, Oct. 13

12:01 a.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Luby Avenue. Police restored peace.

12:24 a.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Luby Avenue had sparked up again.

12:31 a.m.: A woman on Franklin Street told State Police by cell phone an unknown man had come into her house and was on her phone. Milford Police responded and the woman told them the man never came in the house, but was walking around in her backyard. He had left when officers arrived.

12:49 a.m.: A gathering of people were reported outside Turtle Tavern.

12:49 a.m.: A caller said he tried to drive down Harris Avenue at Purchase Street, and a group of youths was causing a disturbance.

1:06 a.m.: The woman on Franklin Street said the man was back at her home again.

1:24 a.m.: A caller reported a pickup truck with a trailer backed into his car on Harris Avenue then took off on Purchase Street.

2:16 a.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Mayhew Slip. Police restored peace.

3:26 a.m.: A caller reported loud music on Pearl Street. Police restored peace.

8:49 a.m.: A caller said a grey sedan was crossing double lines near Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Police could not locate the vehicle.

8:56 a.m.: A Visiting Nurses Association representative called police after attempting to contact a patient on Pheasant Circle. They could hear crying inside but no one was coming to the door. Firefighters responded and forced entry. The patient was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

9:46 a.m.: A deceased black and white cat was found on Mt. Pleasant and Hayward streets.

10:32 a.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle said a change machine was taken from the laundry room. Police were speaking with Woonsocket (RI) Police who had put out a BOLO Sunday morning for a found currency dispenser.

10:56 a.m.: A caller reported multiple parking violations by the Milford High School tennis courts, which were making it impassable for pedestrians. An officer responded and issued parking citations.

1:16 p.m.: A woman reported that police were at her home the previous night to check on her son, and took away his knife. He wanted it back. A police dispatcher could hear the male yelling at his mother in the background. Police responded and spoke to him.

3:15 p.m.: A caller reported his son was high on drugs and staggering in the middle of the roadway. He asked police to check on his well-being. Police responded and the person was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

3:59 p.m.: An employee at the Milford Regional Medical Center emergency room asked police to respond because the man who was transported was being combative.

4:13 p.m.: A 5-year-old boy had his leg stuck in a bicycle on Fisk Mill Road near the Upton line. No transport to the hospital was required.

4:41 p.m.: A car hit a parked car outside TD's Pub at a high rate of speed. Police requested tow trucks for two cars.

4:48 p.m.: A caller reported people were stomping and yelling on the third floor of an apartment house on Vine Street. Police spoke to the people involved.
