Police Log: Cars Towed for Blocking Plows, Man Falls from Ladder

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Dec. 13

6:37 p.m.: An erratic driver in a Chevy was seen heading past Hickey's Liquors heading toward downtown Milford.

7:02 p.m.: Another caller reported the dark colored Chevy as being all over the road, on Cedar Street. Police checked and the driver was not impaired.

9:25 p.m.: A caller on Congress Street said she and her friend were in the house alone and could hear someone else in the house. Police reported it was a friend of the woman.

10:04 p.m.: A caller reported loud music above her apartment on Green Street. Police checked and it was OK.

11:11 p.m.: The caller on Green Street said the loud music was coming from upstairs again. Police responded and spoke to both people.

Saturday, Dec. 14

1:29 a.m.: Police pulled over a vehicle at Jefferson and Main Streets. Police arrested Eric Tracy, 25, of 31 Leonard St., Milford, on charges of speeding and OUI liquor.

5:40 a.m.: A man reported a breaking-and-entering into a Nissan Pathfinder on Mark Drive. The faceplate of the radio was taken, a CB radio stolen and studio lighting taken. The caller said the vehicle was locked.

10:49 a.m.: A postal worker asked police to check on the wellbeing of a customer on West Spruce Steet who had not been picking up his mail. His Christmas tree lights were on. Police checked and found the mail was gone and there were tire tracks in driveway.

11:19 a.m.: A man on DiAntonio Drive reported the four tires on his vehicle were slashed.

12:01 p.m.: A caller reports a light bar and a tail gate were taken off his pickup truck.

5:55 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle off the road on Cedar Street.

7:49 p.m.: A caller requested an officer about illegal dumping on Pearl Street.

8:22 p.m.: The boyfriend of a patient at Milford Regional Medical Center was reported to be out of control. Police responded.

10:34 p.m.: A caller near Casa Nova said people were in the front, yelling. Police responded and found no one outside.

10:47 p.m.: A caller near Milford School of Dance reported seeing a man and a woman outside, yelling. 

11:13 p.m.: A woman on Genoa Avenue said a party of the second floor had excessive noise. Police responded and restored peace.

Sunday, Dec. 15

12:59 a.m.: An officer ticketed a Corolla on North Bow Street.

1:06 a.m.: Milford Highway asked if police could remove the Corolla on North Bow Street. The vehicle was towed.

2:21 a.m.: Milford Highway asked police to remove a vehicle at Nelson Heights. The car was towed.

2:59 a.m.: Art's Towing received a AAA call about a VW that had slid into a ditch. Police responded as well. The officer gave the driver a ride home.

6:47 a.m.: Milford Highway asked police to respond to Maher Court, where a snow remover was putting snow into the street, which was just plowed. Police spoke to everyone involved.

8:27 a.m.: A woman said she was cleaning snow off her vehicle on Shadowbrook Lane and noticed the back license plate was missing.

8:51 a.m.: Milford Highway reported that due to the way vehicles were parked, plows could not get down Franklin Street. At least one vehicle was towed.

10:13 a.m.: A 38-year-old man fell in a driveway on Congress Terrace and possibly broke his leg. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

10:31 a.m.: A man reported his back license plate was taken and replaced with another, on West Street. He thought it happened while he was at Shaw's Supermarket.

10:43 a.m.: A caller at Bed, Bath & Beyond reported a man had called from a 10 to 12 foot ladder. He was laying on the floor, but conscious. The man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

11:32 a.m.: A caller reported a man was arguing with an elderly woman on Congress Street. He thought threats were made toward the woman. Police spoke to the people involved.

1:41 p.m.: A caller reported a disturbance at Milford Auto Mall. The caller said the plowers at that business were plowing snow onto an adjoining property. Police responded and reported that the snow in question was being removed.

1:58 p.m.: A caller reported he was run off the road on Nancy Road by a Chevrolet Tahoe, and ended up on someone's lawn. The vehicle continued on up Nancy.
