Police Log: Car Crashes into Beijing Dumpling House on Main Street

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Friday, May 30

At 7:01 a.m., Milford Police received a report that two license plates and a registration was stolen from a vehicle in the Pond Street parking lot. Upon investigation, police found that the plates had been registered to another vehicle. 

At 10:40 a.m., police responded to a hit and run accident on Depot Street, where they issued a summons to Kevin Ireland, 21, of Milford for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, leaving the scene of property damage, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, a motorcycle equipment violation (no helmet) and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Police also summonsed Rafailia Dine, 21, of Milford, for allowing improper operation of a motor vehicle.

At 11:47 a.m., police responded to a reported accident in the area of Main and Park streets, where they issued a summons to Nube Bermego, 24, of Milford, for failure to yield at an intersection and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

At 4:49 p.m., police received a report that someone had received a call from someone claiming to be from the court house in Worcester.

At 8:15 p.m., a caller reported that a pickup truck stopped and dumped trash by a trash can on Mark Drive, and that a container dumped there looked suspicious. 

Saturday, May 31

At 8:49 a.m., police pulled over a grey 2005 Nissan on East Main Street, and subsequently arrested Mauricio Caetano, 45, of Milford, for driving with a suspended license (subsequent offense), driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving a vehicle with no inspection sticker. Police also issued a summons to Andressa Caetano, 42, of Milford, for improper operation of a motor vehicle. 

At 12:13 a.m., police pulled over a gray Pontiac on Dilla Street and subsequently issued a summons to Matthew Bodwell, 23, of Milford, for driving with a suspended registration, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without an inspection sticker. 

At 3:57 p.m., police responded to a report of an accident in the area of Central Street and Bragg Slip involving a motorcycle and a car. No injuries were reported, and police issued a summons to Graciela Vieira, 37, of Milford, for driving with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and failure to stop/yield. 

At 5:29 p.m., police received a report from the manager of 7-Eleven on Main Street that a customer stole a protein bar and several candy bars; police responded to review surveillance footage. 

At 9:28 p.m., police received a report that fireworks were seen coming from a parking lot on Colonial Drive. 

Sunday, June 1

At 12:25 a.m., police received multiple reports that a vehicle crashed into the Beijing Dumpling House on Main Street. Police responded and called in a building inspector to assess any structural damage; a pole and wires were also reportedly down at the property. Police redirected traffic up Pine and Fayette streets, and officers sought to inform the business's owner. The matter is under investigation. 

At 7:58 a.m., police received a report that a house on Taft Street was egged overnight. The home was reportedly hit by about six eggs. 

At 4:32 p.m., police received a report that a group of kids were riding four wheelers and drinking beer near the Town Park on Congress Street. Officers responded and spoke with one female, who said one young child was riding a dirt bike and left the area. There were no signs of anyone drinking. 

At 9:02 p.m., police issued a summons to Osny De Oliveira, 24, of Milford, for driving a vehicle without a license.
