Police Log: Caller Reports Suspicious Bunny Foot Prints on Front Steps

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Sunday, April 20

At 4 a.m., Milford Police received a report from a caller on Virginia Drive, who claimed someone had gone up to his front steps and made "bunny foot prints" before entering a dark-colored SUV and leaving. Officers responded and checked the area but found nothing at the scene. 

At 4:07 a.m., an alarm company reported a fire alarm activation at Target in Milford. Fire crews responded to the scene but found nothing upon arrival.

At 6:26 a.m., a caller reported she had been traveling on Rte. 85 northbound when she was struck from behind by another vehicle, causing damage to the driver's side rear bumper. The vehicle then proceeded onto I-495 northbound, according to police records. 

At 8:26 a.m., police received a report from a caller who claimed her vehicle had been vandalized. The vehicle had been involved in an accident at the time, which police are investigating, according to police records.

At 10:39 a.m., a caller reported suspicious activity at Kohl's in Milford involving a girl and a "strange man". Police spoke with the caller and determined that the matter may be a possible shoplifting, and sought to speak with loss prevention at Kohl's. 

At 11:18 a.m., police received a report of larceny on Winter Street. 

At 11:51 a.m., a caller from the Silver Hill Road area reported vandalism to their pool liner. 

At 5:21 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle had been blocking a walkway on Congress Street. Officers investigated and found no violations had taken place. 

At 7:48 p.m., the Milford Fire Department called police to report they had received word that a man had been running down Main Street when he fell in the road before getting back up. An ambulance was requested, but upon arrival crews cleared the scene.
