Milford police responded to a report of a blind man, nearly struck while crossing Main Street, and to a complaint that a neighbor had entered her neighbor's apartment and assaulted him.
Tuesday, May 1
4:06 p.m.: A caller at reported a blind man was nearly struck by a car while in the cross walk on Main Street. Police spoke to the man, but no one had a make or model of the vehicle.
4:29 p.m.: A caller reported a broken window on a van on Jefferson Street.
4:44 p.m.: A woman told police an $18 gazing globe was taken from her yard on Hayward Street. She didn't want to speak to an officer, but asked for extra patrols.
4:46 p.m.: A caller from reported a man had fallen, and was possibly intoxicated. Police took the 48-year-old man into protective custody.
5:39 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on South Free at East Main streets. No injuries were involved. Police were seeking a summons to charge Marcus V. Gomes-Linhares, 28, of 16 Claudette Dr., Apt. 3, Milford, with operating a motor vehicle with license revoked as a habitual traffic offender, and failure to yield at an intersection.
6:31 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report an iPod was stolen at the
7:09 p.m.: Milford firefighters extinguished a car fire on Churchill Street. No one was injured.
8:01 p.m.: Police received a call from Southboro reporting a man wanted on a Milford warrant had been picked up in their town. Police are seeking a summons to charge Francis W. Atchue, 44, unknown address, on charges of domestic assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime.
Wednesday, May 2
2:41 a.m.: Police received a call from a resident of Pearl Street, who said his downstairs neighbor had come into his apartment, uninvited, "and started hitting him and scratching at him." The woman was back in her apartment when he called. After investigating, police were seeking a summons to charge Patricia A. Wiseman, 48, of 49 Pearl St., Apt. 2, Milford, with two counts of assault and battery. Police also are seeking a summons to charge the caller, Andrew William Kirschtel, 22, of 49 Pearl St., Apt. 3, Milford, with one count of assault and battery.
7:52 a.m.: A two-car collision was reported near, on Medway Road. No injury was reported. Both vehicles, a Chevrolet Silverado and a Toyota Camry, were towed.
7:53 a.m.: A school bus and a Toyota Corolla were reported to be in a collision on Beach at East Main streets. No injuries were involved. Children were on the bus, according to the narrative.
9:53 a.m.: A caller at on Prospect Street reported that customers were arguing in the dining room. When police arrived, everything was OK.
