Police Log: Complaint of Unattended Children

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

In the overnight log, police officers responded to a complaint of two children left unattended, that an officer determined was unfounded. Officers also responded to a disturbance involving an intoxicated customer at Royal Buddha.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

4:53 p.m.: Police arrested Brittany M. McKinnon, 33, of 73 Beaver St., Franklin, on a warrant.

4:57 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to Riveride Community Care's Hamilton House for a report of a 6-year-old boy who was out of control and needed to be taken to

5:58 p.m.: A caller asked for a well-being check on a fifth-grader and a second-grader who she said were home alone, and are always home alone until late at night. An officer who responded found the mother of the children was at home, and that after school the older child does watch his sibling.

6:56 p.m.: A caller told police a vehicle driving behind her on South Main Street was tailgating and "almost struck her." Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

9:21 p.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle said she could hear yelling and banging from the apartment above.

11:18 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at . An intoxicated male customer was refusing to leave. Police took the man home.

Wednesday, Feb. 15:

1:03 a.m. to 2:48 a.m.: Police issued seven tickets to cars violating the winter parking ban. Officers were on Oliver Street, Draper Park, Farese Road, Poplar Street and School Street.

8:47 a.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Walnut at School streets. No injuries were reported. One car, a Cadillac, was towed.

8:48 a.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Cedar Street, near the station. No injuries were involved.

10:47 a.m.: A woman reported several items had been taken from her car the previous night, on Carroll Street. She asked to speak to an officer.

12:56 p.m.: A person was escorted off property.

1:18 p.m.: Police responded to the for a reported disturbance.
