Police Log: Argument Over Motorcycle Helmet, Unruly Patrons at TGI Friday's

Sunday, Aug. 11

6:57 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and said he wanted to speak to an officer about an ongoing dispute with another man. The dispute, and harassment, stemmed from a disagreement over a motorcycle helmet. Police spoke to the man.

7:40 p.m.: Police responded to the municipal lot across from Pond Street, for a fight that had reignited between people who were separated earlier. Two people were taken into protective custody, then taken home. A sober person also was taken home.

7:52 p.m.: A caller complained motorcycles were racing on the street. The bikes were gone when police arrived.

8:39 p.m.: An intoxicated man was outside Peter's Market. An officer took the man into protective custody and took him home.

8:41 p.m.: Police received a report of domestic on Madden Avenue. A caller said she could hear yelling and glass smashing. The woman in the house denied any physical contact and said it was an argument only.

10:49 p.m.: A caller on Isaiah Circle said a black Maxima with two men inside was parked on the street, and they had cut through her yard to enter a neighbor's yard. She said when she turned on the outside light, they got back into their car and sped from the neighborhood. Police checked the neighborhood and everything was OK.

11:14 p.m.: A caller said two young children were walking behind TD's Pub.

Monday, Aug. 12

1:07 a.m.: A caller asked for police help for two unruly patrons at TGI Friday's.

3:39 a.m.: Police received a report of a boyfriend causing a scene and knocking things over on Main Street. He had since left the house and was heading toward Milford Regional Medical Center. Police responded and arrested Tasha Lynn Moran, 27, of 318 Main St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a warrant and malicious destruction of property more than $250. Police arrested Raymond A. Hamelin, 33, of 44 Milford St., Mendon, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

9:57 a.m.: A caller reported his 94-year-old father, who has dementia, had taken his car and left the house. Police issued a BOLO for the man and the vehicle, a Corolla. Police found the man a short time later. He was fine and the family was on the way to pick him up.

10:35 a.m.: A mailbox was smashed on Janock Road.

11:36 a.m.: A mailbox was smashed overnight at Silver Hill Road.

11:47 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash outside Purchase Street Market. One of the women involved initially said she did not need an ambulance. But an officer summonsed the EMTs. At least one person involved in the crash was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

4:25 p.m.: A woman reported her son's bicycle was stolen from Planet Fitness.
