Police Log: Airboat Complaints, Third-Time Shoplifter

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 13

3:53 p.m.: A man reported his vehicle was broken into on Main Street overnight.

4:26 p.m.: A resident of an apartment on Senate Road said the leasing office was harassing her.

5:22 p.m.: A caller from an apartment complex on Lincoln Street said a boy in the apartment building was shooting a bb gun at her daughter. Police filed a report.

5:42 p.m.: A woman from Bodio Circle went to the Police Department and reported she received a check for $6,000 in the mail. She contacted the bank the check was from and there was no such bank. Police filed a report.

6:24 p.m.: A caller requested radar enforcement between 9 and 10 a.m. and 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Congress Street and Wayne Road. He said there have been near-accidents because of people speeding.

5:27 p.m.: A caller reported her boyfriend was heavily intoxicated and she was afraid when he returned he would get violent. Police were given a description of the man, who she said was in a pick up truck, had long gray hair and a cowboy hat.

8:21 p.m.: A caller reported a noise complaint from Milford Pond on Dilla Street. Police notified the caller it was an airboat from Mass Wildlife, and gave the caller a number for logging complaints with that agency.

8:39 p.m.: Police received a hangup call from Jencks Road. Upon calling back, the woman who answered said she would like an officer to help her mediate a verbal alteraction between her and her husband.

8:51 p.m.: A caller reported a drug deal at Taylor and Main streets. Police were unable to locate the parties.

9:21 p.m.: A caller reported a loud engine noise coming from Milford Pond. Police notified the caller it was an airboat from Mass Wildlife, and gave the caller a number for logging complaints with that agency.

10:04 p.m.: A man from a previous domestic call was causing a disturbance on Senate Road. Police took the man into protective custody.

10:17 p.m.: A concierge from the requested an officer for larceny of a phone from a guest.

Friday, Sept. 14

1:14 a.m.: A caller reported two men and a woman possibly fighting in the lot of the . Police responded.

5:31 a.m.: A private investigator notified police he would be in the Princeton Drive area until 2 p.m.

9:47 a.m.: Police and fire personnel responded to a crash with a minor injuries by Mobil on Medway Road.

10:58 a.m.: Josue Rivera, 32, of 96 Sayles Ave., Pascoag, RI, was arrested at East and Hayward streets and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

12:58 p.m.: A security officer at Kohl's reported a woman was stuffing a carriage with things. Police responded. Carly J. Casten, 27, of 70 E. Main St., Apt. 2, Milford, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation, third offense.
