Police Log: Agitated Court Visitor, Messy Car Club

These are selected items from the Milford police log of May 12-13.

In the overnight police log, officers responded to several calls for assistance, including from Milford District Court for help with an unruly person. Police also spoke with members of a car club who were loitering in a parking area of a restaurant.

Thursday, May 12

3:06 p.m.: A tractor-trailer truck knocked down wires at Jefferson at Court streets. Police responded.

4:01 p.m.: A caller from the reported finding a sweatshirt on the playground that appeared to be burned.

5:53 p.m.: A caller from Yale Drive reported two GPS units and a cell phone were stolen in the past two weeks.

6:41 p.m.: A two car-accident with no injuries was reported in front of the . A Honda CRV and a Mercury Marquis were involved.

8:05 p.m.: After a person walked into the police station to complain, police arrived at a house on Grant Street in response to a violation of an abuse prevention order. Police arrested Jason W. Phillips, 30, of 18 Grant St., Milford, on a charge of violating an abuse protection order.

8:27 p.m.: A woman called to report a tan vehicle struck her Jeep Wrangler near , and then left the scene.

9:14 p.m.: A caller from  on South Main Street said customers have been complaining about a car club that hangs out in the parking area every night. “They also leave a mess” when they leave, the caller reported. An officer spoke with the loiterers.

Friday, May 13

5:14 a.m.: A repossession company called police to inform them it had removed a Nissan from an address on Genoa Avenue.

9:48 a.m.: A disturbance call came from regarding a visitor who was being argumentative. Several police officers responded.
