Police Log: Abandoned Chickens, Lost in Medway

Wednesday, July 25

5:21 p.m.: Medway Police asked police to take a Milford man home. "He was found in Medway very confused on how he got there."

5:54 p.m.: A caller on Gillon Street reported a dirt bike riding up and down the street. The bike was gone when police arrived.

6:26 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street, near police were seeking a summons to charge Renato Morais, 25, of 12 Hollis St., Apt. 2, Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

6:41 p.m.: A caller reported a possible domestic near on Medway Road. A man and a woman were near a silver car. The man assaulted the female.

7:04 p.m.: Firefighters responded to a report of a small fire on the side of Interstate 495 northbound, just before Exit 20.

7:17 p.m.: A man came into Milford Police headquarters to pick up stolen jewelry.

8:12 p.m.: A caller reported her wallet was stolen at

8:19 p.m.: Firefighters responded to , where a 17-year-old boy had chest pains and difficulty breathing. He was sitting in front of a vehicle. The boy was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center. An officer notified a parent.

8:21 p.m.: A caller told police someone hit his vehicle while he was in The damaged vehicle was a Subaru Impreza.

8:50 p.m.: Officers responded to , for a report of a patient who was "out of control."

9:05 p.m.: A man called from Chicago to report a man was trying to break into his mother's home with a weapon that looked like a gun. Five officers responded to Pheasant Circle. The woman at home said it was her ex boyfriend trying to obtain some license plates, but no weapon was involved. "She did state that they aren't speaking."

11:46 p.m.: Police received a report that a man was in a parking lot on South Bow Street "lighting things on fire." According to the caller: he got into a blue car, went to the end of Baker Slip, took a right. He got into the car with "Something burning in his hand."

Thursday, July 26

2:48 a.m.: Police responded to for a disturbance involving a boy and a girl. An officer was speaking to "two parties." An officer took the girl home and spoke to her mother.

2:54 a.m.: A woman called from Farese Road and reported she chould hear a sound like "someone is outside of her house." Police checked and found nothing.

3:29 a.m.: Police responded to , where three men in the parking lot of the emergency room were "causing a disturbance." An officer spoke to the men, who "will be heading home."

6:44 a.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report there is a vacant house next to his home on East Main Street that "has chickens in the back yard." An animal control officer was notified. The man was advised to follow up on the issue at

7:27 a.m.: A woman on Princeton Drive reported "items were missing" from the front yard.

9:22 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about harassment that is going on at her residence on East Main Street "with her roomates."

10:52 a.m.: Police were contacted by on Medway Road, stating protestors were at the location and were being asked to move. Two officers responded and spoke to the individuals.
