Police Log: 57-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured, Man at TJ Maxx Taking Photos of Women

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

6:16 p.m.: A caller on Purdue Drive asked to speak to an officer about a theft from a motor vehicle. Police responded, but no items were missing.

6:56 p.m.: A caller on Hale Avenue reported someone had stolen a GPS from her car.

7:03 p.m.: A caller reported someone had used his Verizon account to purchase an iPhone.

7:41 p.m.: A caller on Reagan Road said a man had knocked on her door and appeared suspicious. Police responded. The solicitor was with the Clean Water Act.

8:04 p.m.: A caller on Jason Circle asked to speak to an officer about unwanted items that were dropped off at his house by a classmate of his daughter.

11:40 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious Jeep parked on Purchase at Wales streets. The occupant stared her down. She said she was concerned due to recent break-ins. Police responded and spoke to the woman.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

12:32 a.m.: A caller on South High Street said upstairs neighbors were making too much noise, with kids running back and forth and jumping. Police responded and found it was an old house with wooden floors, and the people upstairs were just walking around.

5:26 a.m.: A caller said her car was vandalized overnight, on Mark Drive.

5:28 a.m.: A caller said a dog was deceased in the middle of Depot Street. Police contacted Milford Highway Department.

9:44 a.m.: A caller reported a 57-year-old woman was riding her bicycle near Fino Field when she slammed into a guardrail. She hit her ribs and had labored breathing. The woman was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

9:58 a.m.: A landlord reported two or three people were inside an apartment on Water Street who were not supposed to be there. The old tenants had already turned in their keys. Police responded.

1:44 p.m.: A police sergeant was checking an a campground off the Milford Upper Charles Trail. The site was still vacant.

3:23 p.m.: A caller at TJ Maxx reported that for the past few days, they noticed a man in the store using his phone to take photos of women in the store. An officer spoke to the store manager.
