Police Log: 15-acre Brush Fire, Home Break-in, Caller Threatens to Burn Restaurant

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Oct. 25

3:22 p.m.: A caller at Walden Way asked to speak to an officer about what he feels are a lack of patrol units in the area over the past several months.

3:24 p.m.: A man who lives on Myrtle Street walked in to police headquarters and reported his car had been broken into last week. He lost a pair of Oakley sunglasses, his wallet, some money and medication. The vehicle was not damaged

3:37 p.m.: A brush fire was reported on Cedar Street, in the area of the bike path, near the town line. Firefighters responded and requested help from Hopkinton.

3:40 p.m.: A brush fire was reported near the rear of the Milford Water Company property. Hopedale was called in to assist.

4:03 p.m.: A caller on Pearl Street said she had returned home after a hospital stay of several weeks and found her back door open and the TV missing. An officer found no evidence of forced entry. The caller called back and reported she had come across a broken window in the living room.

5:22 p.m.: A caller at Royal Buddha said a woman called claiming to be from National Grid and saying the business owed money. She requested bank account information. He called National Grid and confirmed that the restaurant did not owe money. He asked for the issue to be logged.

5:41 p.m.: The caller at Royal Buddha called again, saying a man had called claiming to be from National Grid, and demanded money or else they would burn the building down. An officer was investigating.

6:06 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and said someone had hacked into her Facebook account.

6:33 p.m.: A man called 911 and said he was having problems with his 18-year-old nephew. He was refusing to leave the house. Police responded and told him to leave.

9:19 p.m.: A woman said a man was knocking on her door and windows and attempting to get in. She is the grandmother of the man's child. Police responded but the man was gone when they arrived.

9:30 p.m.: A caller said an intoxicated father got into an argument with his son and it turned physical. He asked an officer to come and remove the son before it escalates. Police responded.

9:39 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, police were seeking a summons to charge Segundo Clavijo, 21, of 589 White St., Stroudsberg, PA, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

10:34 p.m.: Police arrested a 17-year-old male on a warrant.

Saturday, Oct. 26

12:20 a.m.: A large group of people was forming behind the Music and Arts building. Police checked and everything was fine.

1:37 a.m.: Police arrested a 15-year-old near the Portuguese Club on charges of disorderly conduct and furnishing a false name or Social Security number. 

2:04 a.m.: A caller said a man was walking around a construction site at Cornerstone at Milford on Birch Street. Police searched the building but could not determine if anything was stolen. Multiple doors were not locked.

9:55 a.m.: A man turned in a yellow bike he found on the Milford Upper Charles Trail while cleaning it.

10:53 a.m.: A caller said he could smell smoke in the area of Cedar Street. Firefighters responded to the bike trail parking area near the Hopkinton line.

12:21 p.m.: A mulch fire was reported at Milford Town Hall.

1:29 p.m.: A caller reported a small brush fire by the power lines on Cedar Street in the area of the Vietnam trails. Firefighters found 2-3 acres burning, with a wind, in the area of the orange trail. A firefighter reported the fire was now 3-4 acres, moving slow through difficult terrain. Hopkinton responded to assist. A firefighter reported the fire had grown to 10 acres. Upton and Medway responded. The fire was several hundred yards wide, moving toward Holliston, the area of Adams and College streets. Holliston was notified. The fire reached the blue trail. Upton's fire chief reported two lines were fighting the fire, now about 300 feet long. The fire was contained at about 15 acres.

1:30 p.m.: An officer spoke to five youths skateboarding at Draper Memorial Park.

1:44 p.m.: A caller found two barrels marked with hazardous tape on Whip O' Will Lane. An officer found the barrels were empty.

5:55 p.m.: A caller said four kids were jumping up and over the railings and stairs at Birmingham Court. An officer found the kids were guests and the host kicked them out once he or she realized they were causing trouble with the neighbors.

6:15 p.m: A woman said a passenger in her car was acting out and hitting the window while she was driving. She asked for police help. She was instructed to pull over at Purchase Street Market. Police responded and arrested Brett Conrad Eisenhauer, 28, of 101 Purchase St., Milford, on a warrant.

7:30 p.m.: A caller said he had received a threatening call from a carpet cleaning company. When he turned down an offer for a free estimate, the caller began to make verbal threats. He asked to speak to an officer.
