Police Log: Man 'Sleeping' in Ford Expedition, in Middle of Franklin Street

Sunday, Aug. 5

10:52 a.m.: A woman reported her son was causing a disturbance and would not leave. She wanted police to remove him. Police responded to the home and restored peace.

11:34 a.m.: Police and firefighters responded to the entrance of for a report of a two-car crash. One car was in the brush and a woman was unable to get out. No one was injured.

11:34 a.m.: A man reported a "disturbance with a female" in the parking lot of the

11:46 a.m.: A woman reported an unwanted male at a Pearl Street home.

11:54 a.m.: A man on Highland Street reported his landscaping trailer was broken into overnight, and equipment is missing.

12:16 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report his car was broken into Friday night. Among the items stolen from the vehicle: a Milford Legion baseball shirt.

12:44 p.m.: A woman reported two adult mountain bikes were missing from a residence on Pearl Street.

1:27 p.m.: A caller on West Pine Street told police someone was at his door who he didn't recognize.

4:42 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Park Street for an investigation of a possible mulch fire.

4:50 p.m.: Police responded to a two-car crash on Highland at West Fountain streets. One vehicle was towed. No one was injured.

6:03 p.m.: Suspicious activity was reported at A caller said a big tanker truck was pumping water out of the quarry near Sports Authority. He said he had never seen this before and wasn't sure if they were allowed to do that. Police checked and the tanker truck had permission and had done this in the past.

6:34 p.m.: A man reported losing his brown wallet at

6:54 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a man sleeping in his vehicle, a Ford Expedition, in the middle of Franklin Street. Police towed the vehicle. An officer reported he was unable to determine who was the operator. "No one would come forward and say who was driving." It appeared the vehicle was involved in a collision with a telephone pole.

7:35 p.m.: A person walked in to police headquarters to report was having problems with the elevators serving the bar and restaurant.

7:39 p.m.: Police responded to East Main Street, where a man was arguing with his daughter, who was thought to be intoxicated.

9:42 p.m.: A caller on Route 16 reported a Dodge Neon was "all over the road, almost hitting things." The vehicle was last seen in Holliston, coming into Milford. A "Be on the Lookout" was issued.

9:46 p.m.: A caller reported he was struck by a vehicle coming west from Holliston on Route 16. Damage was reported on the driver's side of a GMC Sierra. Police pulled over the suspect vehicle, which was the subject of the previous call's BOLO. Police are seeking a summons to charge Jeffrey John Arico, 21, of 55 Orange St., Waltham, with a marked lanes violation and leaving the scene of property damage.

11:04 p.m.: A caller reported water "gushing out of the road" on Beaver Street near the . An officer responded and determined it was a broken sprinkler head, but not a road hazard.

11:47 p.m.: A caller reported a neighbor's car alarm was going off on Genoa Avenue. This happens multiple times a night, the caller said. Police spoke to the caller and attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner, with no success.

Monday, Aug. 6

1:43 a.m.: A caller said her neighbor's fence on Sherwood Drive was vandalized.

7:34 a.m.: An officer reported a tree was blocking the road on Whitewood Road. The Milford Highway Department responded and removed the tree.

8:15 a.m.: A caller reported his mailbox was vandalized on Wales Street.

11:22 a.m.: A caller on Hayward Street said a man in a blue Ford Ranger just got out of his car and "attacked her boyfriend, thinking that he is the one that stole his son's ATV."
