Police Charge Two in Home Invasion, Robbery

Milford Police, with assistance from Boston Police, arrested two men in Dorchester Wednesday night on charges relating to a home invasion robbery in Milford.

Milford Police have arrested two men in Dorchester involved in a home invasion reported on Sept. 29 in Milford, police announced in a press release.

Rashad Blount, 25, of 347 Bowdoin St., Apt. 2, Dorchester, and Richard Booker, 26, of 41 Courtland St., Apt. 2, Middleboro, were arrested at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Fields Corner neighborhood of Boston. Police were assisted in locating the men by Massachusetts State Police, Middleboro Police and Boston Police.

The men are accused of forcing their way into an apartment in Rolling Green, after posing as pizza delivery men. They, and a third assailant, robbed the tenants of about $7,000 in cash and checks, and brandished a handgun, said Detective Jason Ball. The man and the woman inside the apartment were not injured, but were held at gunpoint.

The woman was required to stay in the living room, while the man was forced into a bedroom, and told to hand over the cash. He was tied up before the suspects left the building, Ball said.

The couple were newly married. The cash and checks were from their wedding, Ball said. Although they did not know the assailants, the assailants knew they had the cash from the wedding.

"This was not a random crime," Ball said.

Once inside the apartment, both men put on masks. Initially, outside the door, they wer unmasked and carrying pizza boxes. Inside the apartment, Booker claimed to be a police officer.

Both men have been charged with home invasion, larceny from a building, burglary, assault with a firearm, possessing a firearm during a felony, armed and masked robbery, armed assault in a dwelling, conspiracy, possession of a firearm withouth identification or a license to carry, and for Booker, impersonation of a police officer.

The investigation is continuing.

I find it funny that I search for a police article on this alleged crime. Which happend on September 29, 2012 . Why would'nt the person who is bringing these frivolous charges open the door for three pizza men when they did'nt order pizza? Then the three men put mask on & socks on their hands & then pose as a officer of the law after they get in the house. This story sound's like the work of some dope heads needing to cover up their mistakes!

What normal person would allow junkies to help move them into their new house/apartment? Then showing them where the safe filled with money & checks are. Seem's to me the junkies relapsed & got desperate & broke into the residence. & another issue why in the world would you have 7,000 in your home when we have banks in America? Im thinking this is a big set up in the Great town of Milford! The truth will unfold & may God have some kind of Mercy on your rotten soul.
JUSTICE for THE INNOCENT October 30, 2012 at 05:16 PM

Why would you rob someone. Let them see you face then put on masks and socks on their hands after you enter the resident? Also what young couple keeps a safe with $7G in your place while you go on vacation? Sounds to me like maybe the lbs of weed. Or whatever kind of drugs along with the profits from dealing is the purpose of a home safe!!! That kind of cash should be in the bank. This is a case of someone making bad choices and trying to cover up their quilt feelings and blaming the Black man. EX: CHARLES STUART....SUSAN SMITH THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT. KARMA
