Milford Police: Couple Fighting over Engagement Ring, Kids Throwing Balls Against School

Monday, July 29

7:10 p.m.: A caller reported illegal dumping near the end of South Bow Street, at Central Street. Police checked and found nothing wrong.

8:18 p.m.: A caller said three or four youths were throwing rocks at Stacy Middle School. Police responded and an officer found the youths were throwing hand-balls against the building. He told them to wrap it up for the night.

11:13 p.m.: A woman reported she was being stalked by a third person on behalf of her ex-boyfriend. Police spoke to her and determined no crime had taken place.

11:16 p.m.: Several officers responded to the National Guard Armory property, where a man who was making suicidal threats had told his mother he was located. Police checked but could not find him. The man was located in another town and taken to Milford Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

Tuesday, July 30

1:15 a.m.: A caller said she could  hear yelling in the area of Shadowbrook Lane and thought she could hear a man and a woman yelling for an ambulance. Police responded but could not find anyone.

7:27 a.m.: A caller complained that motorcycles were racing up and down the street near Planet Aid. Police responded but could not locate the bikes.

7:50 a.m.: A caller said a woman was going through other people's trash cans on South Main Street. Police responded but she was gone.

12:40 p.m.: Police received a report that a man and a woman were fighting over an engagement ring on Redwood Drive. Police filed a report.

5:04 p.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle said she could hear lots of yelling and sounded like things were being broken. Police responded but found it was a barking dog.
