Editor's Note: the following press release was submitted by the Milford Police Department.
For a number of years, the maintained information that was voluntarily submitted by loved ones concerning family members who have special needs. This information would allow public safety officials to launch an immediate investigation and search should this person wander off.
The Milford Police Department has partnered with SafetyNet by LoJack to provide services to families who have loved ones with special needs.
LoJack maintains a robust database that is updated regularly and can be accessed by public safety officials if an individual is reported missing. It also offers the SafetNet Bracelets which can be tracked by the tracker that LoJack provided to the Milford Police Department.
As a result of this partnership and the fact that family members and public safety officials can access information concerned with a particular individual who may have wandered, the Milford Police Department will no longer maintain the Special Needs Form information that we collected prior to the availability of the LoJack SafetyNet program.
Anyone that is interested in LoJack SafetyNet may contact them at 1-877-434-6384 or safetynetbylojack.com. The cost for this service is $1 per day.
Anyone that would like more information from the Milford Police Department concerning this program, may contact Officer Robbie Tusino at 508-473-1113 x 0 between the hours of 4 p.m. and midnight, or by email at email@example.com.
