Milford Driver Pulled Over, Police Find 24 Bags of Heroin

Milford Police found $700 in cash and 24 bags of heroin in a vehicle being driven by a Woonsocket man.

A Woonsocket, RI man was arrested in Milford Friday after police found 24 individually wrapped bags of heroin in his vehicle, following a traffic stop for speeding.

Orlando Pimentel Sanchez, 29, of 719 Front St., Apt. 220, Woonsocket, RI, was arrested and charged by police with possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug (heroin), conspiracy to violate the drug laws, knowingly being present where heroin is kept, failure to stop for police and speeding.

An officer pulled over Sanchez on Medway Road about noon Friday, according to the police log. Several detectives and another officer also responded. The vehicle was towed to Milford Police station.

In a press release, police Detective Jason Ball said the police found 24 individually wrapped bags of heroin and $700 in cash in the vehicle.
