UPDATED: Man Charged After Accepting 1 Lb. of 'Molly' Delivered by FedEx

The narcotics seized by police have a street value of $20,000.

UPDATED: A Medway man was arraigned Thursday on charges relating to his arrest on ordering a shipment of the narcotic 'Molly' from China, then arranging to have it delivered to a house in Milford.

He was arrested by State and Milford Police Wednesday after arriving at the house to take the package from another man who had signed for it. The other man was not charged by police.

According to documents in Milford District Court, David Sheehan, 23, of 5 Old Surrey Lane, Medway, accepted the package at a house on West Spruce Street. He told police he had been receiving similar packages of the drug, Methylone, for the past three months.

Sheehan was released following his arraignment after posting $1,000 cash bail. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5.

According to a court statement filed by State Trooper Stephen McDonald, the package was intercepted by U.S. Customs agents at JFK International Airport in New York. Agents took possession of a box that had been mailed via FedEx from China, and was addressed to a Milford resident. The box contained a plastic bag that was filled with a rock-like substance that agents tested and determined to be Methylone, according to the police statement.

The narcotic weighed in excess of a pound.

Milford and State Police monitored the delivery of the package to West Spruce Street on Wednesday, by having a State Trooper pose as a delivery man. The man at the house who signed for it later told police he was holding it for a friend, and identified Sheehan. He said he had agreed to accept the package to pay off a debt to Sheehan.

When Sheehan arrived at the house and took possession of the drug, police arrested him, according to the court statement filed by Milford police. He told officers he had purchased the drug online, using a secure server, about two weeks before.

The drug would be broken up into 1-ounce chunks, then sold for $200 to $300 each, he told police, according to a statement filed by Milford Detective Jason Ball.
