Fight on Main Street Leads to Two Arrests, Report of an Armed Robbery

Milford Police arrested Christopher Hernandez, 25, and Darren Jones, 19, following a fight on Main Street.

Two men were arrested on several charges Tuesday following a fight on Main Street, near Ray & Dick's Bakery. After interviewing the victim, police determined the fight was the result of an armed robbery Sunday that was not reported to authorities.

According to police, patrol officers and detectives separated the participants in the fight, and arrested the following:

Darren Jones, 19, of 16 Jefferson St., Milford, is charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, relating to the street fight. Police said he also will be charged with armed robbery and conspiracy, according to a news release.

Christopher Hernandez, 25, also of 16 Jefferson St., Milford, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, immediately following the fight. He will be charged with armed robbery, conspiracy and conspiracy to violate the drug laws, according to police.

The victim, a juvenile, told police the armed robbery occurred on Sunday. It was not reported to Milford Police.
