Original Post:

A 48-year-old man whose minivan struck a large boulder Thursday on Route 140 in Milford, near the Hopedale line, has died, according to police.

The man, who is from Framingham, was taken by ambulance to Milford Regional Medical Center, and was life-flighted to a trauma hospital, according to police.

He had a weak pulse when officers arrived and was not responsive, said Officer Paul Moffi. Hopedale Police were the first on the scene. The crash was just a few feet from the town line.

The crash will be investigated by the Central Massachusetts Accident Reconstruction Team. According to Moffi, an initial investigation indicated there were no tire marks. The man may have had a medical emergency while driving, he said.

No one else was in the Honda minivan at the time. The identity of the driver was not released by police Thursday.
