Child Struck by Car on West Street in Milford

The child was transported via MedFlight to UMass Medical Center.

A vehicle struck a child in Milford Tuesday afternoon, Milford Police said

Responding officers shut down the lower portion of West Street, where the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m., according to Boston.com.

NECN is reporting the child, believed to be 4-years-old was struck after crossing the street to catch up with his mother.

The child was transported by MedFlight to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, though details on the child's condition were not immediately available, according to WHDH
