Brothers, Third Suspect Charged After Two Store Robberies in Milford

Police charged three after attempted robberies at Acros Market and the Central Market in Milford Monday afternoon.

Milford police arrested and charged three individuals Monday in connection with two robberies that took place simultaneously, one being at the Acros Market on Main Street, the other at the Central Market.

Police arrested William Selent, 18, and James Selent, 21, both of Milford, charging them with armed assault with intent to rob, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Officers sought the two brothers after they allegedly attempted to commit an armed robbery at Acros Market on Main Street in Milford. The two were located separately attempting to get back to their residence, according to Milford Police. Officers also recovered an Airsoft pellet gun in connection with one of the armed robberies, and a weapon used in the robbery was also located at the time of the arrest.

Police also arrested another male suspect for an alleged robbery that took place at The Central Market in Milford. After a brief foot chase that ended on Beach Street, police also arrested Matthew Rando, 21, charging him with unarmed robbery, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, according to Milford Police.
