Community Corner

Tis the Season for Softball and Baseball

My husband and I are local Central MA Umpires, the 2 of us as well as a fellow umpire from the Northbridge area have volunteered to collect un-wanted, gently used baseball and softball equipment. We were highly successful last year, making 2 trips to Philly to donate items.

We have signed up with Pitch in for Baseball (www.pitchinforbaseball.org)

This organization collects gently used baseball equipment and provides it to baseball organizations all over the world in need. The recent team from Uganda in the LL World Series has been receiving gear from this organization over the last 5 years.

I'm looking to get the word out to the Milford community to see if anyone would want to help us give back and donate. Spring is right around the corner and people are getting ready for baseball and softball signups, and seeing what they need for the upcoming season, if you have un-wanted items that you would want to donate please contact us and we will arrange to come pick it up.
