Thank You to The Milford Board of Selectmen

On behalf of the residents of East Milford, we would like to publicly thank the Board of Selectmen, the Town Administrator, and State Senator Richard Moore for taking the time to meet with us and listen to our concerns regarding the proposed casino. We were very grateful that they agreed to bring a public forum into our neighborhoods.  It allowed them to see our neighborhoods first-hand and afforded residents an opportunity to ask questions without the formality of a traditional Board of Selectmen Meeting.  As a testament to their professionalism, they spent a great deal of time making sure that our concerns were truly heard and that every last question was addressed.

As was stated many times over, the residents of East Milford have a unique set of concerns and because of our close proximity to the proposed site, we will inevitably bear the brunt of this casino project from the start of construction through its ongoing operation for decades to come. We were repeatedly reassured that our voice was no less important than any other neighborhood in town.

We applaud the efforts of the Selectmen as they continue to diligently yet cautiously navigate the entire town through a decision that will undoubtedly have the most significant impact that Milford has seen in our lifetime.
