A year ago, Milford Patch launched as a website. At the time, we were an unknown. Many people liked the idea of an interactive, community website, with news, information and events. But they weren't quite sure what to expect.
Now, a year later, we are more familiar, and we hope, a trusted source of information. That's the goal. We've grown tremendously, and changes have taken place. The site now has more than 1,300 people who follow us on Facebook. And we seem to be getting fewer, puzzled "What's Patch?" responses when we're out and about.
The site launched on Oct. 15, 2010, under the stewardship of . The first posts that week included a column about looking for the bright angle in all things, , and a report of an , of nearly $100 in a collection jar at the Milford Town Library.

At the time, I remember wondering if I could find enough to write about in one town. I soon discovered that wasn't going to be a problem. If you see the police log getting posted at 4 p.m. or later, you'll know why!
Without going on too much more here, I want to thank all of our readers for their support, and for sharing their news, photos, announcements, and time with us. We look forward to another great year!
