Foxwoods: Still Unanswered Questions...

Foxwoods’ month long informational meetings were meant to provide answers to some very concerning issues that residents have about building a large destination resort casino in Milford.  Although many details have been presented, there still remain questions that need to be answered prior to negotiating a host agreement.

Casino-Free Milford representatives John Seaver, Steve Trettel and Rob Mitchell , recently spoke with WMRC’s Ed Thompson about the casino impact and the potential host community agreement (audio attached).  Regarding the traffic information presented by Foxwoods, Mitchell explained, “ The traffic mitigation study is NOT an ‘improve Milford study.’  Foxwoods is NOT improving Milford.  They are creating a problem and mitigating it.”

Both Seaver and Trettel are lifelong residents of Milford.  Seaver is a businessman and former Milford Selectman.  Trettel is a registered professional civil engineer. Mitchell and his family chose to make Milford their home over twenty years ago.  Mitchell is a registered professional chemical engineer.  The three are among the many residents who have volunteered their time to review the Foxwoods proposals in an effort to assist the town’s officials in evaluating the credibility of the information they receive from Foxwoods.
