Obituary: Theresa Consoletti Pluta, Nurse, Volunteer for Milford Seniors

Mrs. Pluta, 96, had a long career as a nurse, beginning in 1940.

Theresa (Consoletti) Pluta, 96, died died unexpectedly on July 30 at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the widow of the late Henry J. Pluta, who died in 1977. 

Mrs. Pluta attended Milford public schools as a young girl and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1935. She was also a graduate of Cambridge City Hospital School of Nursing. In 1986, she obtained a bachelor's degree at Framingham State College. Mrs. Pluta began her long and varied career as a registered nurse in 1940, initially as an assistant night supervisor at Cambridge City Hospital, later as industrial nurse and safety coordinator at the Porter Shoe Company in Milford.
