Obituary: Louise Ballou DeManche, 92, Former Assistant Bail Commissioner at Milford District Court

A funeral mass for Mrs. DeManche will be held Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

She was born in Milford; daughter of the late Frank & Julia (Flaherty) Ballou. She was raised in Milford and was a 1940 graduate of Milford High School.

After raising her family Louise served as assistant Bail Commissioner at Milford District Court for 30 years. She had also served as assistant director for the Milford Senior Center Council on Aging for several years.

Louise was active in the community and taught painting and ceramic classes through the Milford Adult Education Program. She was a Member of St. Mary's Parish in Milford and its Irish Round Tower Club and had also been active in the Upton Grange.

Louise is survived by two sons Vincent DeManche and his wife Dawn and David DeManche and his wife Karen, both of Uxbridge, a daughter Marie Crivello and her husband Bill of Milford, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons L.Michael Demanche and Raymond DeManche, two sisters Joyce and Shirley Ballou and a grandaughter Jillian Dulak.
