Obituaries: Rose Recchia, Albert Prunier, Enrico Niro, Brian Cormier

The following residents or former resident of Milford have died in recent days.

Rose G. (DiAntonio) Recchia, 88, of Hopedale died Mon. Sept. 23, 2013 in Countryside Health Care, Milford. She was the wife of the late Gino M. Recchia, Sr. who died in 1985. Mrs. Recchia was a Registered Nurse for 42 years at Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford and had owned and operated the former Franklin Nursing Home. She was born April 11, 1925 in Milford, the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Nelson) DiAntonio. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, Milford High School, class of 1942, the former Milford Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1946, and had attended Framingham State College.

Albert G. Prunier, 63, of Hopedale passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Suzanne M. (Giguere) Prunier. Mr. Prunier was a limousine driver for Accent Limousine for 16 years. He had previously worked for Garelick Farms in Franklin for many years. He was born in Webster, June 9, 1950 the son of the late George and Ruth (McManus) Prunier, Jr. and was a graduate of Bartlett Regional High School, Class of 1968. Mr. Prunier and his wife, Suzanne, celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary this past August. 

Enrico J. Niro, 81, of Uxbridge, died Sept. 24, 2013 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of  Eleanor A. (Lopes) Niro of 53 years. He was born in Milford, son of the late Philip and Jennie (Cadlick) Niro and lived in Milford before moving to Uxbridge in 1960. He was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1950 and also attended Worcester Trade School. Mr. Niro was employed at the former Porter Shoe Company in Milford, Nelmor Company in Uxbridge, Mendon-Upton School District and retired in 1996 from Framingham State College where he was employed as a painter. 

Brian J. Cormier, 43, of Milford, died Sept. 24, 2013 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Joan M. Callahan-Cormier of 10 years. He was born in Ashburnham, MA son of Joseph “Denis” and Elaine (Bergeron) Cormier of Ashburnham and lived in Ashburnham most of his life before moving to Milford in 2004. He was a graduate of the Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham, class of 1988. He received a Political Science Degree from URI in 1992. Mr. Cormier retired in 2007 from Kronos in Chelmsford where he was employed in Tech Support. He was a Milford Town Meeting Member.
