Obituaries: Patricia Petrilli, Joanne Wilson, Lucinda Sebastaio, Ruth Streeter

The following residents of Milford have died in recent days.

Patricia J. (Luchini) Petrilli, 77, of Milford, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Northbridge. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Raymond and Nicoletta (Fino) Luchini, and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1952. 
Mrs. Petrilli retired in 1997 from the New England Telephone where she was employed as an operator. After retirement she was employed part time at the EMC Corp in Hopkinton. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Joanne C. (Flynn) Wilson, 79, of Milford, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 in Medway Country Manor, Medway. She was the wife of the late Keith D. Wilson who passed away in 2009. She was born in Salem, daughter of the late George and Anne (Flynn) Flynn. 
Mrs. Wilson worked as an X-Ray Technician for Milford Regional Hospital and then went on to work for Milford Orthopedics for many years before retiring. She loved the beach, reading and especially loved her family and taking care of her grandchildren. 

Lucinda D. (Roxo) Sebastiao, 94, of Milford , passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Adriano M. Sebastiao, who died in 2002. She was born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Antonio and Adelina (Dias) Roxo, and lived in Ludlow and Portugal. 
She was educated in Portugal , and came to Milford in 1937. Mrs. Sebastiao retired in 1976 from the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale, where she was employed as a core maker. She was also employed at the former Milford Shoe Company and the Blaire House of Milford . 
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church. 

Ruth C. Streeter, 86, of Lakeville formerly of Milford died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 in the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville, MA.
Miss Streeter was a corps treasurer for the Milford Salvation Army. She began her career with the Salvation Army in 1945 and retired after more than 50 years of service. One of 13 children, Miss Streeter was born on October 26, 1927 in Milford, a daughter of the late Nathan Ray and Eda (Robinson) Streeter. Raised on a farm on Thomas Street, she had been a lifelong resident of Milford. At 13, she enrolled as a junior soldier for the Salvation Army because of the organization’s generosity and Christian values.
Miss Streeter graduated from Milford High School in 1945. She received her nursing education with the Lafayette Academy in Providence, RI. Once commissioned as Lieutenant of the Salvation Army School of Officer Training in New York in 1949, she served in a variety of assignments including two years in the Bowery, a depressed area of lower New York City.
