Obituaries: Norma Bocaccino, Gemma Bresciani, Carmela DuPont, Doreen Macaluso

The following residents and former residents of Milford died in recent days.

Norma J. (Fitzgerald) Bocaccino, 86, of Nashua NH and formerly Hopedale, passed away Thursday, August 08, 2013 at Langdon Place, Nashua, NH. She was the wife of Nicholas J. Bocaccino.
She was born October 8, 1926 in Milford, the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Muriel (Miller) Fitzgerald. 

Mrs. Gemma M. (Fusco) Bresciani, 86, of Hopedale MA, died Tuesday (August 6, 2013) in Boulder CO where she had been residing since March, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late John F. Bresciani, who died in 2003. 
Mrs. Bresciani was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Lawrence and the late Gemma (DePasquale) Fusco Diotalevi. She attended Milford public schools and was a graduate of Milford High School. Mrs. Bresciani was first employed as a young woman as a quality control specialist. She later in life was employed for a number of years as a teacher’s aide for the Hopedale Public School Department.

Carmela L. (Grillo) DuPont, 95, of Milford, died August 7, 2013 in her home.  She was the wife of the late Arthur L. DuPont who died in 1982. She was born Milford daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Justa) Grillo and was a lifelong Milford resident.
She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1937. 
Mrs. DuPont retired in 1974 from the Archer Rubber Company in Milford where she was employed as a shoe worker.  She was also employed as a waitress in her younger years in several restaurants in the Milford area. She was an avid Red Sox fan, bingo player and loved to visit casinos. 

Doreen M. (Dew) Macaluso, 77, of Milford, where she has lived since 1969, died on August 3, 2013 at the Countryside Healthcare Center in Milford after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. 
Born in Eskridge, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Wilma (Christian) Dew, and was a 1954 graduate of Highland Park High School in Topeka, KS. She retired in 2004 from the Coan Oil Company, where she had worked for several years as a Junior Accountant, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Milford, as well as the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed watching HGTV and the Food Network, and especially loved her cat, Cricket.
She was the wife of the late Vincent L. Macaluso, whom passed in 2011.
