Obituaries: Francisco Correia, Ronald Sauchelli, Clementina Gordon, Robert Cipriani

The following residents and former residents of Milford have died in recent days.

Francisco Correia, 91, of Milford, passed away Oct. 29, peacefully surrounded by his family and friends in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Clementina (Rodrigues) Correia who passed away in 2010. He was born in Valdegas, Portugal, son of the late Anibal and Carolina (Teixeira) Correia and moved to Milford in 1969. While in Portugal he served in the Portuguese Army. 
He retired in 1984 from the Clark-Cutler McDermott Company in Franklin where he was employed as a machinist. Mr. Correia was proud and admired his children, grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His greatest pastime was gardening and gatherings with his family and friends.

Ronald G. Sauchelli, 67, of Milford, died Oct. 31 at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. Mr. Sauchelli was born in Milford, the son of the late Saverio S. and the late Antonia A. (Bracci) Sauchelli. He attended the former Sacred Heart Grammar School and Milford High School. 
Mr. Sauchelli was a lifelong resident of Milford and a longtime employee of the Town of Milford working for the Parks Department, from which he retired. He was also an avid reader and an avid train enthusiast. 

Robert W. “Bob” Cipriani, 82, of Sandwich, formerly of Milford died Nov. 1 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Elaine (Sarro) Cipriani. Mr. Cipriani was employed as a Switch Technician for New England Telephone for 30 years before his retirement in 1991.
Bob was born Feb. 28, 1931 in Milford the son of the late Alfred and Lucy (DeVenuto) Cipriani and was a lifelong resident of Milford before moving to Sandwich. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1950 and a graduate of Franklin Technical Institute in Boston, Class of 1959. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War.
Mr. & Mrs. Cipriani observed their 48th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2013. 
Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his family. 

Clementina D. (Brita) Gordon, 92, of Milford, died Nov. 1 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Northbridge, after a period of declining health. She was the widow of the late Donald J. “Flash” Gordon Sr. who died in 2010. 
Mrs. Gordon was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Michael and the late Salvina (Giardulli) Brita and was a life-long Milford resident. She graduated from the former St. Mary’s High School and was employed at the Telechron Corporation in Ashland, as well as at the Central Cleaners in Milford.
