Obituaries: David Laquidara, Lillian Smart, Joseph Micelotti, Robert DiAntonio

The following residents or former residents of Milford have died in recent days.

David P. Laquidara, 67, of Woodville, passed away on August 27, 2013 at his home. He was a resident of Milford for many years prior to moving to Woodville. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late John “Trippi” and Eleanor. He is survived by brothers, Charles of Wailea, Hawaii, Pat of Milford and Bill and sister-in-law Roberta of Millville. He was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1963 and received his bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College. He later received his Master’s degree in education from Cambridge College. Mr. Laquidara was a well-loved and admired teacher in the Medway school system from 1969 until his retirement in 2003.

Lillian (Oneschuk) Smart, 87, of Avondale Estates, GA died on August 23, 2013. Born on June 26, 1926 in Milford, she was one of nine children born to Alexander and Rosalie (Kmita) Oneschuk of Milford. Lillian graduated from Milford High School in the class of 1943. She worked at Draper Corporation in Hopedale before moving to Georgia, where she worked as a dental assistant in Atlanta. She is survived by her siblings: Anna Parente and her husband James Parente, Olga Anderson, Joseph Oneschuk and his wife Kathleen Oneschuk, all of Milford, and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Smart of Avondale Estates as well as her sisters Rosalie Calhoun of Coronado, California, Mary, Tina and Alice Oneschuk of Milford, and her brother Alexander Oneschuk of Hopedale

Joseph P. Micelotti, 89, of Milford, died Wednesday morning (August 28, 2013) at his home after a courageous battle against cancer. He was the husband of Mary A. (Jionzo) Micelotti. He was born in Milford, MA., the son of the late Salvatore and the late Maria (Mauro) Micellotti and was a life-long resident. Mr. Micelotti graduated from Milford High School where he captained the football team in 1943. He was employed at the Nyacol Company in Ashland, MA. for (24) years retiring in 1989. 

Robert Michael (Bob) DiAntonio, 49, of Bellingham died Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the husband of Jill (Cherrington) DiAntonio. He was born in Milford, son of Joseph DiAntonio and the late Margaret (Brown) DiAntonio. Bob was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1982 and a graduate of The University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He worked as an investment accountant. Besides his wife, Jill, Bob is survived by two children: Dylan Bob DiAntonio and Alexa Jillian DiAntonio both of Bellingham, his father Joseph DiAntonio of Milford; and six siblings.
