Obituaries: Brian Abretti, Anna M. Binks

The following residents, or longtime former residents, died in recent days:

Brian J. Abretti, 70, of Milford, died Monday, July 22 at Beaumont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Maressa) Abretti, who died in 1969. 

Mr. Abretti was born in Milford, the son of the late John and the late Regina (Rizzi) Abretti. He attended Milford public schools and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1961. While in high school he was an accomplished athlete who loved to play basketball & baseball. Mr. Abretti had been employed as a young man for Waters Corporation located in their Framingham facility. He later was employed for Millipore Corporation, working for over twenty-eight years. 


Anna Margaret (Farrer) Binks, 95, of Hopedale died Tuesday, July 23 at Countryside Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Thomas Edwin Binks who died in 1977. 

Mrs. Binks retired in 1982 from the Draper Corporation where she was employed in the administrative office for nearly 25 years. She was born September 27, 1917 in Ford Mills, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late William Edward and Phoebe Elizabeth (Dunn) Farrer. She had been a resident of Milford for more than 65 years and was a member of the Union Evangelical Church of Hopedale.
