Obits: 24-Year-Old Dirt Biker, Women's Club Member, Army Veteran

Obituaries from Holliston, Hopkinton and Milford from the past week.

Paul H. Johnson, 75, of Calumet Court formerly of Milford, died Jan. 25. Mr. Johnson was employed as a machinist for the Island Machine Co. in Rhode Island for several years, retiring in 1973. Previously, he was employed by the Weatherhead Machine Co. in Millis.

Charlotte J. Fortin, 80, of Holliston, died Jan. 24. Born in Medford, she was the
daughter of the late Theresa (Murphy) and Charles Schumb. She was the wife
of 46 years to Robert W. Fortin of Holliston. Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed going to the Fatima Shrine in Holliston.

Jean L. Vaccaro, 87, of Holliston, died Jan. 23. Jean worked for more than 20 years at Raytheon and also spent five years working in the Holliston High School cafeteria. She enjoyed playing manjan with her friends from Milford.

Elizabeth A. (McCaughey) Meurant, 71, of Milford died Jan. 20. Mrs. Meurant had worked at the service desk at the Stop and Shop in Milford. She enjoyed her family and friends  and loved her two grandchildren dearly. 

Matilda “Tillie” Brenna, 86, of Milford died Jan. 17. Mrs. Brenna worked at Medfield State Hospital for over 20 years as an LPN. She was a lifelong resident of Milford and  loved spending time with her family.

Marilyn “Tibby” F. Terry, 68, of Holliston, died on Jan. 17. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Murphy and her husband Vincent of Holliston, and Jane Moran of Ashland. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Robert, Bryan, Justin and Kaitlyn and her dog Gus.

Robert A. Swanke, 86 , of Laconia, NH and formerly of Hollisotn died Jan. 16. A US Navy Veteran of WWII, Robert attended the US Naval Academy and belonged to the US Naval Academy Alumni Association, the US Naval Institute, American Battleship Assoc., USS Wisconsin Assoc., USS Shangri-La Assoc., Association of Aviation Ordnancemen, as well as the Knights of Colombus and American Legion. In 1992, after forty two years in the insurance business, he retired as Regional Vice President from Mutual of America Life Insurance Company.

Jason M. Hutchinson, 24, of Uxbridge, formerly of Milford, died Jan. 15. He was the son Gary and Deborah (Sielkowski) Hutchinson of Uxbridge, and lived in Milford most of his life before moving to Uxbridge. He was educated in the Milford Schools. Mr. Hutchinson was employed as a laborer for the Seil Construction Company in Bayville NJ. He also was employed for Local #609 Laborers Union in Framingham. He enjoyed spending time with his son and riding dirt bikes.

Kellysue M. Alger, 44, of Upton died Jan. 15. A resident of Upton for 12 years, she previously lived most of her life in Milford. Ms. Alger was born Oct. 10, 1968 in Milford, the daughter of the late Robert T. and Dorothy L. (Downey) Alger. She was a graduate of Milford High School and attended and represented MassBay Community College in Wellesley Hills.

Kellysue enjoyed working on cars, spending time with family and friends, music, reading Stephen King and Anne Rice novels.

Joseph A. “Bobo” Iadarola, 75 , of Milford died Jan. 14. A lifelong resident of Milford, he was born March 20, 1937 in Milford, son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Lancia) Iadarola. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1955. Mr. Iadarola served in the U.S. Navy with the Seabees. Mr. & Mrs. Iadarola observed their 24th wedding anniversary on July 9, 2012. He was a longtime member of the Community Bible Chapel in Hopedale. He loved jazz music, reading his bible, and “his bride”. 

Ernestine T. Iannitelli, 79, of Milford, died Jan. 14.  Iannitelli and was a life long Milford resident. She was a graduate of the Milford High School Class of 1950. Ms. Iannitelli retired in 2000 from the former Prime Computer Company in Natick where she was employed as an executive secretary. Previously she was employed in the International Department at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club, and member of the Women’s auxillary volunteers at the Milford Regional Medical Center. 

Gloria Moreno, 90, of Milford, died Jan. 13. She was the wife of the late Alfredo Goncalves. She was born in Arcos, Portugal, daughter of the late Joao and Ana (DeMours) Moreno and moved to Milford in 1976. Mrs. Moreno was employed as kitchen help for Jean’s Catering in Milford and retired in 1985 from the former Marlboro Footwear where she was employed as a stitcher.

Brendan F. “Moose” Connolly, 76, of Milford, died Jan. 12. He was born in Milford son of the late Joseph and Alice (Dearborn) Connolly and was a life long Milford resident. He was educated in the Milford Schools. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Mr. Connolly was a self employed drywall installer for many years in the Milford area.

John W. Mastroianni Sr., 86, of Milford, died Jan. 11. Mr. Mastroianni retired in 1993 from the B.F.I Company in Holliston where he was employed as a supervisor. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Maspenock Rod and Gun Club in Milford.
