Domenic J. Perrone: Lifelong Milford Resident, WWII Veteran and MHS Grad

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning in Milford.

The following obituary is posted courtesy of the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home.

Domenic J. Perrone, 88, a lifelong Milford resident, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Countryside Healthcare Center in Milford.

Husband of the late Rita L. (Tumolo) Perrone. He was born in Milford, son of the late Joseph and Mary L. (Rossetti) Perrone, and attended Milford High School.

Perrone retired in 1987 after 12 years at Cushing State Hospital, where he worked maintaining cooling and air conditioning. He had also been the owner of Perrone’s Market in Upton from 1960-1975. 

A WWII, U.S. Army Veteran, he was a longtime musician, a member of the Milford Musician Union, and the Italian American Veterans, and enjoyed playing cards and bocce.

Father of Susan P. Cecchi and her husband Richard, and Donna M. Gilman and her husband Stephen, of Milford. He was the brother of Angela Porcello of Framingham, and the late Francis Perrone, and is survived by 2 grandchildren, Laura McCullough and her husband Craig, and David Cecchi, and 2 great-grandchildren. 

His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 8 a.m. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. in Milford. 

The burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. 

Calling hours were set for Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
