Support Those That Support the Arts!

Sometimes I write about singers, but today I will sing the praises of those who support the arts, more particularly those stores, newspapers, radio stations, and of course websites and online calendars that help the perpetually cash strapped music, dance, and theater companies of the Milford area to post notices about their upcoming shows and performances without charge.  The Patch has both a calendar section and articles (like this one), WMRC AM 1490 has calendar sections both on its website and on air, Milford TV runs its billboards for hours each day, while Hannaford's, Shop N Shop, and the Spin City Laundromat have actual corkboards on which to post flyers.  The Milford Daily News has a calendar and sometimes will send reporters and photographers to cover the performance as well.  When you are choosing your media outlets to watch, read, shop, and especially in which to advertise, please keep the Patch and all these media outlets in mind.  Support local media that supports local arts!
