What's a Little Cold Rain? Milford Turns Out for Santa Parade

The annual Welcome Santa Parade drew another big, enthusiastic crowd, despite the weather.

Milford does love a parade, even when it's cold and wet. Several thousand people turned out along Main and East Main streets Sunday, despite a drenching cold downpour at the beginning of the Welcome Santa Parade.

They packed umbrellas, bundled up, and fortified themselves with cocoa and hot coffee.

The parade organized by the Milford firefighters union included fire trucks from surrounding towns, and from as far away as Blackstone and Framingham. Floats were entered from dance troops, businesses and schools.

The Milford cheerleaders and girl scouts marched, too, making the best of the slick conditions.
