Halloween Events around Milford

The events for goblins and ghouls are starting to stack up. Here's a list of some Halloween related events that we've heard about. Halloween, of course, is on Oct. 31.

Friday, Oct. 25- Sunday, Oct. 27: Zombie Jamboree, Milford Performing Arts Center. The Halloween production has four shows over this weekend and costs a mere $7 at the door, or $5 in advance.

Friday, Oct. 25: Milford Youth Center Adult Halloween Fundraiser: this one is for the adults. The 8 p.m. to midnight event will include a cash bar (beer & wine), appetizers, and music! Make sure to wear your Halloween costume - there will be prizes for the best male and female costumes. All funds will benefit the Youth Center programs. Tickets are $20 each at the door.

Saturday, Oct. 26: Trick or Treat Down Main Street: Creative Community Childcare has organized this 5th annual event. Children will trick or treat at selected businesses in downtown Milford. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, there will be games, crafts and treats at CCC, and Trick or Treating down Main Street from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A map of participating businesses will be available at the party. Admission is free with the donation of an infant or toddler item for the Milford Daily Bread Food Pantry.

Saturday, Oct. 26: Milford Pumpkin Stroll. Milford Parks and Recreation Department and Charles River Bank present this popular event at Plains Park. Pumpkin carvers are asked to drop off their creations between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., at the Lions Club Pavilion. Children are then invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes and enjoy Trick or Treating in the park from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Local businesses will be set up to hand out treats and Charles River Bank will provide the children with Trick or Treat Bags! The creatively carved pumpkins will illuminate a path of walkways in Plains Park for everyone to safely enjoy. Admission is free, but a donation will be welcome for local food pantries.

Friday, Nov. 1: Find Yourself Friday Youth Halloween Party with Haunted Maze. This 6:30 to 9 p.m. party is for the 18 and under crowd, and will include a DJ, music, games, food & beverages for sale, a jumpy, a movie, raffle prizes, face & pumpkin painting, a costume contest, and a haunted maze. With a donation to the Milford Daily Bread Food Pantry, the event will cost $2. If not the entrance fee is $3 per person. Youth must have a registration form with the Youth Center to participate, and once they leave, cannot re-enter the building.
