Tribe cant run 1 Casino, Foxwoods, Forget a 2nd

The Mashantucket Pequots and Foxwoods Casino can't run one casino profitably, they just completed a debt restructuring. Prior to that they started defaulting on the debt payment obligations several years ago. What makes them think they are capable of operating a second casino any better?



 Court records indicate Steven Thomas, Treasure for the Tribal Council makes $150,000 a year and only debt is a mortgage valued at $300,000. He just attempted to bankruptcy and was denied by the court. If he does not have the basic financial skills to understand he is responsible for paying his mortgage with the salary he earns should he really be the tribes treasurer? Beyond the financial skills, does he not understand the moral & ethical obligation of meeting one obligations?
