Special Town Meeting

Milford will hold a special town meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10. The meeting is in the upper chamber at Town Hall.

Article 1: to see if the town will vote to amend the zoning bylaw relating to public school dimensional requirements as follows:

By adding a footnote "f" of Section 2.5 Intensity of Use Schedule the words 'public schools' before the words 'or public monuments.' (submitted by School Building Committee)

Article 2: to see if the town will vote to appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds, a sum of money to be expended under the direction of the School Building Committee for the construction of a new Woodland Elementary School and ancillary facilities, on the site of the existing elementary school located at 10 No. Vine St., which school facility should have an anticipated useful life as an educational facility for the instruction of school children of at least 50 years, and for which the town may be eligible for a School Construction Grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority, which MSBA Grant Program is a non-entitlement, discretionary program based on need, as determined by the MSBA, and any project cost the town incurs in excess of any grant approved by and received from the MSBA shall be the sole responsibility of the town, or take any action in relation thereto.
