Greater Milford Relay For Life Kickoff Event

American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life to hold Kick-Off

Celebration January 16, 2014

Greater Milford Relay For Life works to Finish the Fight against Cancer and cordially invites all interested to

attend.

On Thursday, January 16th at 7:00 p.m., the Greater Milford Relay For Life 2014 will officially get underway as event volunteers, team captains, and cancer survivors gather in the Norfolk Room at the Doubletree Hotel, 11 Beaver Street, Milford, MA for a kick-off rally to launch their fund-raising efforts for this year.

Although the Greater Milford Relay For Life 2014 is months away, now is the time to get involved. In 2013, the Milford Relay For Life raised over $80,000 to help in the fight against cancer; in 2014, we hope to raise even more and is gearing up for a fun filled 2014 Relay.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event, dedicated to increasing awareness about cancer and raising funds to fight the disease. Teams of family, friends and co-workers camp out, participate in Relay events and take turns walking the track.  Before and during the event, participants and visitors will have a chance to Celebrate the victory of area cancer survivors, Remember those we have lost to the disease and to Fight Back and take action against cancer by raising money for the American Cancer Society.

Residents of Milford, Mendon, Millville, Hopedale, Uxbridge, Northbridge, Blackstone, Upton and Douglas are invited to attend the kick-off celebration to learn more about this year’s Relay and how they can become part of an exciting event that will help pave the way to a world with less cancer and more birthdays.  Committee members will be on hand to answer questions and register teams and participants.

The 2014 Greater

Milford Relay For Life will take place on May 9th and 10th on the Milford High School Football and adjacent Softball fields from Friday Afternoon to Saturday Noon.
