Claflin Hill's Family Night at the Bandstand

There's nothing quite like a summer evening outside under the stars, listening to great music.  And that's just what we've planned for you this summer.

Each week, Claflin Hill presents a different music ensemble playing a wide variety of genre right here in Milford, MA.
This week: The Fantasy Big Band will perform at the Milford Musicians' Pavilion.

The Milford Musicians' Pavilion was built in the late 1990s and, in fact, it is due to its dedication that Claflin Hill was first created.

Paul Surapine, the executive and artistic director of Claflin Hill, having recently moved to Milford area, was a member of the then Milford Concert Band.

He realized that the band needed 'revamping' and that the community would benefit from this new concert series-- providing people with a shared event.
Paul started approaching local businesses to support these outdoor concerts. This summer's list of sponsors appears in the right hand column.

And the rest, as they say, is history!  From the success of Family Night at the Bandstand, Claflin Hill has evolved to be a source for all types of great music- including classical symphonic music.

This coming year, Claflin Hill will also be an educational resource with the absorption of The MetroWest Youth Symphony Orchestra.

If you want to know more about Claflin Hill, stop by the tent at the park on Tuesday night.  Or give us a call at 508.478.5924.
