Milford Registered Voters: 17,399 by Deadline for Casino Referendum

The town's registered voters increased by almost 150 people in the past three weeks.

More than 100 people in Milford registered to vote over the past three weeks, according to figures provided on two dates by the Milford Town Clerk.

By the deadline Wednesday for the Nov. 19 special town election, for the casino question, Milford had 17,399, said Amy Hennessy Neves.

Three weeks ago, the tally was 17,255.

The clerk's office anticipates heavy turnout for the casino referendum, of presidential election proportions. The turnout for the most recent presidential election, in November 2012, drew 72.9 percent of the registered voters.
