5 Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 18

Interested in coins? Come to the Milford Town Library for a talk with an expert.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. Do you have a coin collection, and wonder if it's worth more than the face value? Coin expert Mark Bruni will discuss ways to spot fakes, and help people determine the value of their coins, as part of a speaking event Monday, Sept. 24 at the Milford Town Library.

2. Volunteers are needed to help at the Sept. 24 Fall Classic Golf Tournament in Millis, presented by the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce. Volunteers are needed on the putting green, with registration, and taking pictures. Volunteers will enjoy a free Dunkin Donuts breakfast, Dickie's sausage and a delicious dinner buffet, while enjoying the Glen Ellen Country Club. Call the MACC office for more info at 508-473-6700.
