5 Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 30

In back-to-back episodes, the new reality show of chainsaw sculptor Jesse Green kicked off on Thursday night. Green, based in Medway, is the artist who created the Mrs. Pine sculpture outside Mac Med Spa and Salon.

1. had a season premiere Thursday night of his new reality show "American Chainsaw." the eight-episode show will air each Thursday night at 10 p.m. on National Geographic Channel.

2. The trial of former Milford Water Company Manager Henry Papuga has been rescheduled again, and is now set to begin on March 4 with jury selection. collected during the 2009 boil-water crisis in Milford. He remains free until trial, and has pleaded not-guilty to the charges, brought by the Massachusetts State Attorney's Office.

3. No one wants to be mistaken for a deer in hunting season. If you're going to be walking outdoors in park areas, or in forests, wear bright orange and put something similar on your dogs if they're being walked too. Shotgun deer season started Monday and continues until Dec. 8. And then blackpowder deer season starts up Dec. 10 and continues until Dec. 31.

4. Children Across America is holding its first on Exchange Street. More than 20 crafters and vendors will participate. And Santa will make an appearance beginning at 11 a.m.

5. Are you a cancer survivor? Please consider attending the Tree of Life ceremony and celebration at 5 p.m. Monday at Milford Regional Medical Center. The event is a celebration of people who have survived a diagnosis that not long ago was too frightening to say out loud.
